Underdogs Issue 3 Page 7
Greetings!
Wanted to give a shout out to all the new and old readers who have giving the site so much love this week, my thanks! It inspired me to get this page done in under a week, and wanted to upload it while I work on the flats. Enjoy! Getting there, ADV colors to come soon.
Yes, this ****show has arrived. Eric’s face in panel 5 is my Mother’s ‘This is why we can’t have nice things’ stare.
Theo, your big mouth is writing checks that your body and abilities can’t back up (at least not for long). I hope for your sake that Eric or someone else who has your wellbeing at heart steps in quick.
I love that Theo comes across as intended. More to come in the next pages. Thanks for Reading!
Theo’s a ton of fun to see in action. I’m really enjoying this story.
I was reading the character bios and learned that Eric has issues with his hearing. Besides the hearing aid he received earlier, how does that affect his character and how he acts around people?
It’s not referenced majorly so far, but it does play a big part of his disconnect and why he tends to be in his own head so much (starting from when he was younger.) The difficulties with communication and why he is always facing who’s speaking.
He does communicate through sign eventually, scripted to do so for quite a while. I thought it would be an amazing comic visual, and of course with how lost it took me to get the comic underway Hawkeye (which is fantastic and you should read) has famously beat me too.
Sidenote: Early in Issue 2, it’s also why he can’t understand what Theo is screaming from the other cell.
It’s great to see some action and even some background faces, and the new guy! Keep up the great work in the comic, don’t try to rush yourself too much, action scenes are always a handful!
Thanks Kath! They past few updates have been slowly evolving as I get more time to get shading added, the next page is definitely going to push me the most. Thanks for Reading!
